Does it come on in under certain conditions, like when you hit a certain speed or what?
Hey! The symbol you're describing sounds like the lane departure warning or lane asist indicator. The car with the arrow between two lines pointing down typically means the system is alerting you when you're drifting out of your lane. It usualy appears briefly to notify you, then disappears once the system deems everything is back on track.

That car symbol with the arrow means your BMW's air suspension is changing its height. It pops up briefly when you switch driving modes speed up or drive on bumpy roads. It's just the car's computer adjusting the suspension to keep the ride smooth. it's normal and shows the car's suspension working.
