Took delivery of my '24 i7 2 weeks ago. Noticed a possible scratch in the windshield. Dealer confirmed it and will replace it. Has anyone else had their i7 windshield replaced? How long did it take? Any problems?

When I had my windshield replaced, the dealer used an OEM part and it took about a day, even though it should have only taken a few hours. Make sure they check the HUD and sensors in the rearview mirror when you get it back...

When you pick up your car, make sure you check the paint around those front corners for any dings, and make sure the headliner is all good.

I have a buddy who had the same window problem. He was all like, 'Make sure the new glass has the exact same numbers and stuff as the old one!' He even took pictures of the old glass and made sure the new one was a perfect match. They did a good job and got the right kind of glass with that IR stuff.

My 2024 I7 was one of those that got caught up in the “Stop Sale” fiasco and it sat at the Port Hueneme VDC for like two months. During that time, I am convinced that a tiny stone ended up in the area of the windshield wipers and when someone used the wipers prior to me taking delivery, the windshield received a faint but noticeable “arc” scratch.

The dealer replaced the windshield in one day. I was amazed, as my car has the Climate Comfort Glass option, but BMW had the correct windshield in stock locally.
No issues with the new windshield.

You should probably talk to your dealer. Prices and how long it takes to do it might be different there. Also, see if they give you any kind of warranty after they fix it.
