I'm about to embark on a little DIY project in my BMW i7 : installing a beefy phone charger and my radar detector. I know I need to tap into the front fusebox (probably the right side one), and I've got the fuse diagram in hand. But before I start wrestling with trim panels.

Did you find the fusebox where you expected it (behind the lower side trim under the A-pillar)? Were there any hidden clips or tricky parts?

It is on the underside of the glove box. You have to turn 90 degrees the two thumbscrews, then then you can remove the panel. The fuse box is above the pass-side trim panel. I hope it helps!

I found a bolt chilling right under the fuse box, near the bottom of the footwell. It was easy to spot, but I did have to yank off the plastic trim to reach it. Luckily, the trim popped off without any hassle.

I found a good spot to ground my radar detector. It's right under the fuse box, near the bottom of where your feet go. I had to take off that little plastic cover, but it wasn't hard. Then I just grounded it there.

Hey! The fusebox is pretty simple, no tricky parts at all. On the back of the plastic cover, there’s a clear diagram that’s easy to read. It shows all the fuse ratings and where each one goes, so it’s super easy to figure out and replace any blown fuses when you need to.
